Our Story
Skating
I had skated all my life but only seriously started learning in 2020. I joined up to adult woman's skateboarding lessons and was introduced to the pure happiness a piece of wood on wheels could give you.
There's no feeling like the rush of excitement you get when you land a trick you've been working on for months or the pure adrenaline you feel when you drop in from a height you could only dream of. Skating is and will always be my happy place
Art
I turn to art for the feeling. The ability to express myself without judgement, after a good day or a bad day I use it to reset and release.
Art gives me the freedom to be unbound by traditional techniques or rules...there are endless possibilities to create whatever you feel like in any moment.
One day I could be creating clay hamburger coasters and the next day I could be wood burning a skateboard deck. There are no rules, there are no limits, art can be whatever you want it to be...and thats beautiful
Wreck Your Deck
Most of my artistic creations had something to do with skating. In my bedroom I would hang up my used boards as i cycled through them. This sparked the idea of painting the decks to showcase them as art throughout my home.
I began experimenting with paint pouring on skateboard decks and was immediately obsessed. I think of paint pouring like 'happy accidents' there are no rules, you choose the colours and the way the board is manipulated to create unbelievable patterns that cannot be achieved with a paint brush.
No two decks I made were ever identical. There's feeling that comes with creating something completely unique to you that is so freakin' cool.
I was literally wrecking my decks in any way I desired and now you can too. I wanted to spread the happiness so I created DIY Wreck Your Deck kits and now anyone can have a go at creating their own masterpiece skateboard deck at home. Once completed you decide whether to hang it up or ride it, everything is up to you I'm just here to provide the fun
